Keap-Specific FAQs

General Questions

No.  Keap has access to more options on the back-end of the database which allows them to restore credit cards, subscriptions, etc. (basically, the items that are not able to be accessed via API).  To get a restore done through Keap, you need to contact support, pay a fee, and wait until they can get the restore done.  CRM-Backup is designed to give you instant ‘undo’ capabilities within your Keap account on things like contact record field changes, accidental deletion of a record, ‘fat finger’ mistakes where you accidentally input bad data and need to get the previous data back.  One of the major benefits of CRM-Backup is the ability to instantly restore those items, instead of having to go through the aforementioned process and subsequent delays.

 Yes, CRM-Backup backs up all the fields from the contact record, including custom fields.  It also can restore notes, orders, and tags.  See the toggle above for items that are not supported by CRM-Backup.

Yes, CRM-Backup.com supports all Keap plans.

CRM-Backup backs up information in the contact record, including custom fields. It also backs up notes, orders, and tags (even on deleted records).  There are some items that are not able to be backed up due to API limitations (items like credit cards, subscriptions, etc.).   We have other items on our roadmap that are not yet included, but will be in the near future.

Unfortunately, due to limitations with the Keap API, backing up automations is not possible.

Backups run automatically on a daily basis.

Currently, manual backups are not available. The system is designed to run automatically at specific intervals to avoid API limitations.

Yes, the system is designed to handle databases ranging from 100 to over 1,000,000 records.

 The standard backup runs every night. Upgrades for more frequent backups are available; please contact us for details.

Backup Features

 Yes, backups are performed daily during the early morning hours.

  1. Choose the appropriate package from our website.
  2. Receive a welcome email with your activation link and authorization code.
  3. Access your dashboard, click “Authorize,” sign in to your Keap account, and confirm authorization. Your Keap account will then be connected.

Backup retention depends on the package you select. Please refer to our pricing page for details.

 Backups are scheduled to run daily by default. Upgrades for more frequent backups are available.

This feature is on our roadmap and will be implemented soon. For urgent needs, contact us for assistance.

 The system performs an initial full backup of your contact records and uses Keap’s API to pull updates, ensuring completeness.

CRM-Backup includes an internal monitoring system that auto-corrects issues. Our team also monitors backups to ensure they complete successfully.

 Yes, your data is stored in an encrypted database that is also backed up for redundancy.

Restoration and Recovery

Use the dashboard to locate the contact, click “View Details,” and select the specific data line you wish to restore.

Yes, deleted items backed up in the system can be recovered on a line-by-line basis.

Restored items are instantly pushed back to Keap.

No, the system connects to only one Keap account at a time.

Restored data will overwrite existing data in Keap. The previous data will still be available in the backup system for reference.

Security and Compliance

Yes, data is encrypted during transfer and storage via an oAuth-encrypted API connection.

Yes, we comply with all Keap API security protocols.

Data access is limited to team members with login credentials. If you require a HIPAA Business Associate Agreement, you can request one via our contact form.

Only individuals with access to your login credentials can access the backups.

Backups will cease once your subscription is canceled. You will retain access until the end of your subscription period. After expiration, data will be purged.
